When core i7 first came out it was obvious that it meant new motherboards, new chip sets, new LGA 366 processor sockets and a load of more technologies came out with the platform.
Intel core i7 clearly is the new revolution of the processors as it comes with new technology of new design of integrated memory with several new features as having 3 channels per socket, having up to 3 DIMMs , Native DDR3, which supports both RDIMM and UDIMM. and also supports single, dual and quad-rank DIMMS. The most significant upgrade to the core i7, I think is the Quick path interconnect which replaces the inside bus which existed in previous generations. This new 20 lane both direction serial link provides communication to intel's IOHub.

Overclocking core i7 has a processor speed of 3.19 GHz and it has a system Bus Frequency of 133MHz. The QPQ Data Rate is 6.4GT/s The overclocking with core i7 is certainly different than with duo core processors when we adjust host clock frequency we also affecting quick path data connecting rate as well as the core clock of the processor and memory speed all with just host frequency clock. As well as that you can also adjust processors multiplier but with core i7 the processor has 4 individual ratios, and you can adjust 1 2 3 or even 4 of them individually isn't that great! You can overclock i7 up to 4.15 GHz!

To buy Intel core i7 I just highly recommend especially if you are a game player, software designer or a computer engineer. I can assure you it will bring more quality to your CPU performance. The processor speed is 3.19GHz and you can buy Core i7 Extreme 965 for approximately will be set at $999, the Core i7 940 at $562, and the Core i7 920 at $284. Overall I think it is the processor of the year and I give it 10/10 it is just a KICK ASS! recommend it to all computer users. Damian Gaslawski...signing off.
